Soccer Saint Louis - FOR the LOVE of the GAME! Saint Louis Soccer and Beyond!
Makana League Memorial F. A. is a middle school soccer program that is promoting soccer in the St. Louis City area.
The league has its roots in New Dimensions Soccer Program via the vision of likes of D.J. Wilson, Tom Michler and Cathi Marterella.
Many of the kids who played in this inaugural season where participating in organized soccer for the first time, yes this was the first team some of the kids ever played on.
This was the first real exposure to soccer  many of these kids and their families have been able to experience.
It safe to say that the Makana MLFA has just imprint the love of soccer into hundreds of more St. Louisians.
"My first game I coached in the Makana league may have been the single most positive soccer experience I have had in my entire soccer career my U-13 girls (St. Cecilia/ HillSide Sports) where playing Imagine Academy most of the Imagine girls had never played soccer, however their desire for success and devoted play showed that they wanted to give us a game no matter what. Imagine's goalie played awesome and gave everyone the understanding she was not going to let much get by her. All the girls from both teams gave the fans and supports quite a show. Most of all the game of soccer and the spirit of fair play was evident." Coach Frisella
